Master Plans & Studies

The Planning Department is responsible for the preparation and management of major planning efforts for land use, transportation, economic development, and neighborhoods. These plans are developed by City Staff with input from the Planning Board, elected officials, and stakeholders that include the general public, local businesses, and institutions. Department staff regularly refer to these plans to guide development decisions and actions. These master plans and studies are updated regularly to ensure that they provide accurate priorities and vision for the city. Neighborhood Plans and other targeted studies are completed to study specific opportunities or issues and develop recommendations.
