Laurel Urban Renewal Agency
The Laurel Urban Renewal Agency (LURA) Board was established under Laurel Municipal Code §20.02.
The LURA Board meets the 3rd Monday of each month at City Hall at 11:00 a.m. in the Council Chambers. Meetings are open to the public. LURA Board Members and Advisory Members each serve a 4 year term.
The LURA Board was established to administer the Facade, Signage, Technical Assistance, and General Large and Small Grant Programs for projects taking place within the Laurel Downtown Tax Increment Finance District. The LURA Board members meet regularly to review grant applications and work with the Planning Director to support downtown projects, provide input on downtown growth, and encourage economic development activities.
