Emergency Medical Services

Laurel Emergency Medical Services (LEMS) provides emergency medical and public safety services for the City of Laurel and surrounding areas in Yellowstone County. Our service area is approximately 205 square miles.

LEMS is staffed 24 hours a day 7 days a week by Full Time and volunteer EMRs, EMTs, AEMTs, and Paramedics. Chief Gurchiek, NRP handles the day to day operations of LEMS.  LEMS is a  city-run agency that began June 1st, 1976 staffed completely by volunteers.

Annually LEMS responds to over 1300 calls and with the population and business growth in the our service area we expect the annual call volume to increase year after year.
