Volunteer Ambulance Service

The Laurel Volunteer Ambulance Service is located in the Safety Complex in Laurel, along with the Laurel Police Department and the Laurel Volunteer Fire Department.

The LVA is run by volunteers, licensed by the State of Montana as Emergency Medical Technicians and certified by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians.  Only the Director is full time.

The LVA answers calls in the city but also surrounding areas of Yellowstone County.  LVA also covers some areas in Carbon County and Stillwater County.

All transports are made to the Billings hospitals.

All volunteers are trained to handle any situation they may be called to.  All volunteers keep up their CPR certification and are trained in the use of Automatic External Defibrillators (AED).

The crew of the LVA works with both the Police Department and Fire Department.

Emergency Medical Technician classes are held in Laurel twice a year.  Anyone interested in volunteering their time to this service please contact the office at 628-1611.  This number is not to be used in an emergency.

We welcome tour groups or anyone just wanting to see our facility.
