Training Office
Our Program
Our goal is to provide our firefighters with effective training to produce a well-prepared and well-rounded force. Our trainings focus on fostering teamwork and cooperation through drills and practical evolutions. Our firefighters gain knowledge and familiarity, develop and practice task-specific skills, and build confidence in stressful environments.
General Training
Our office hosts weekly general trainings every Wednesday evening. These trainings are shaped to teach our probationary firefighters basic skills and keep senior firefighters skills sharp.
Rookie School
Our office hosts weekly rookie school trainings every Tuesday evening. These trainings are shaped to teach our probationary firefighters the firefighting basics. Probationary firefighters are the newest firefighters on our force. They spend a minimum of one year in rookie school. To graduate from this program, they must attend all rookie school classes and pass all practical examinations. After successful completion, probationary firefighters will graduate and be released for all firefighter duties.
